**#COYER Review ~ Come Home to Me ~ Brenda Novak**

Woohoo! Yet another book off my e-reader. :) *pats self on back*

For those of you who've read Brenda Novak's Whiskey Creek series, I think you're gonna love Come Home to Me. For those of you who haven't, get started! You don't have to read the series in order (I haven't) but, of course, I'm sure it adds to the experience of getting to know all these fabulous characters!

Synopsis
Home is where her heart is...

When Presley Christensen returns to Whiskey Creek with her little boy after two years away, she has completely changed her life. She's made peace with her past and overcome the negative behavior that resulted from her difficult childhood. Now she's back in the small town that was the closest thing to "home" she ever knew - the town where she can be with the sister who's her only family.

There's just one catch. Aaron Amos still lives in Whiskey Creek, at least until he moves to Reno to open a branch of the Amos brothers' auto body shop. And no matter how hard she's tried, Presley hasn't been able to get over him. Seeing him again makes the longing so much worse. But she hopes she can get through the next few months, because she can't fall back into his arms...or his bed. She's come too far to backslide now. And there's a secret she's been guarding - a secret she'll do anything to protect.

Brenda Novak really has a way of sucking you into a story. I loved returning to Whiskey Creek again and getting better acquainted with Presley and Aaron. Their story was a little darker than Ted and Sophia's (the last book in the series I read - you can read my review here) and I liked it even more for that darkness. Hmm, what does that say about me?

Presley Christensen is back in Whiskey Creek after two years. She wasn't in the best place when she left town. She made many bad decisions as a result of coping with her childhood but she's struggled to put her life together - to be a better person - for her son, Wyatt. Now, she's looking to get her yoga/massage business up and running so she can provide a better life for her baby, be closer to her sister, Cheyenne, and maybe finally get over Aaron.

Aaron Amos has worked hard at overcoming his childhood. He and his brothers have made their auto body shop successful and seem to have put the past behind them. Aaron is planning on expanding the shop - moving to Reno. That is until Presley moves back to town. Presley, the one girl he can't seem to forget. The one girl he'd like to have forgive him for how he treated her two years ago. And if they happen to fall back into bed together, well, all the better.

I adore Presley and Aaron, They both had terrible childhoods and they really 'get' one another. But Presley knows their relationship was always one-sided - her side - and doesn't want to fall back into the self-destructive habits she once had. Bless her heart - she tries so hard to stay away from Aaron - both for her sanity and because of the secret she harbors. But Aaron won't give up. And honestly, I think Aaron was clueless as to how deep his own feelings ran for Presley. They're like magnets though, these two. It was fun watching the pull.

The sub-plots of Presley's secret and Cheyenne's conspiring for Dylan's happiness kept me on edge, as did Riley's pursuit of Presley. I knew things might blow up in Presley and Cheyenne's faces. And Riley's a nice guy but not the right guy. :) I'm eager for the next installment to see what happens with Cheyenne and Dylan. The Amos brothers are about to undergo another dramatic change as well, which I'm also anxious to see play out.

The ending for Presley and Aaron was a little too fast and tidy for me. However, I'm thrilled they have everything out in the open now. I so enjoyed my visit to Whiskey Creek with Come Home to Me
